Mandala of the week
This mandala was made for my friend for his Birthday. I felt that this was the best gift that can be given to anyone!
A lot went into making this one. There was a small meditation done on the person and also music that is his liking was playing in the background while the painting was taking form.
No matter what was tried in terms of wanting to make the mandala using bright color combination's, it just didn't materialize and all the colors were somehow a mix of 2 colors and the result is there for all to see.
When it was given to him on his Birthday, the first sentence that came out from him was "It really looks like my life now, confused!!".
The mandala's have the amazing power to portray the current state and also change as time progresses, waiting for what change this mandala will go through and the resultant change in my friend's life.

Ganesha Mandala 2
Adding to the first Mandala with the Ganesh theme was the second Mandala that sprang from the depths of Mandala creativity. As the process now of getting more from what lies with-in as expression with-out, the color schemes chosen for this particular Mandala was purely from the deep resources of the self.
Mixing and matching, trying color combination's, being able to have a steadier hand in tracing and filling outlines took on precedence with the result there to see.
The need to make this more than just a hobby is the burning wick inside and requests to make Mandalas for folks out there are welcome!
Ganesha Mandala
As soon as the first Mandala was ready, the need to keep making more Mandala's became intense and with the Ganesh festival around the corner, it seemed to be the ideal theme to choose to pursue the "making magic with the Mandala" and the result was the second creation out from the Mandala stable.
This took a week and is now ready to be framed and ???. The pure energy that flows out of this Mandala is entirely due to the presence of Ganesh the destroyer of all obstacles and there was this nervous energy during the week to get back to finishing the Mandala.
All in all a fulfilling experience with results there for all to see :-)
My First Mandala
It just so happened that a cousin of mine came home to show me her painting and I was really inspired by it. What I had been dabbling with since 2000 as a on and off exercise, I felt should be taken up in earnest and here's the result: My 1st Mandala on a more organized scale. Shubha offered to help with making all the purchases for my mandala painting journey and with my friend Bharath's engagement fixed for, a couple of days later, "this was the best moment to begin" was my instant instinct!
With loads of help from Raksha and Deeksha, here's what transpired, given the urgency.
There was both wonder and surprise at how those 2 days unfolded with the Mandala and that led to further inspiration to keep the momentum going. The pure energy invested in the moment without mind chatter that is a constant companion for most of the time, what finally evolved is what you see in the picture.
